DESTINATION INFORMATION
Parga, one of the most picturesque villages in Greece, lies on the mountainous west coast of mainland Greece, in the province of Epirus. Bathed in history, it still retains remnants of its medieval past. The clustered houses climb steeply from the harbour to be topped by the remains of the Venetian castle. During the day it is front is a hive of activity with dozens of small boats and water taxis jostling for a berth against the jetty. They offer non-stop trips to the fabulous beaches of Valtos and Lichnos. Valtos Bay can also be reached on foot by walking up to the castle and down the other side - excellent cardio for the fit! There are lots of other bays too which can be reached by boat or you can take a trip along the Acheron River, traditionally the entrance to Hades. On the way back you call at a a splendid grotto in the sheer cliffs, before relaxing with a barbecue on a deserted beach. There are also excellent excursions to Paxos and Antipaxos. On the mainland the old city of Ioanina and Dodoni with its ancient theatre and temple dedicated to Zeus are both definitely worth visiting. Parga is great fun for all ages with a town beach plus endless tavernas, kafenions, bars and boutiques along the waterfront. In the early evening Parga really comes alive with everyone, from the Greeks to the visitors, promenading along the waterfront. Parga is a great place to “people watch!’

We are delighted to include villa Akis to our portfolio for this summer and we are sure due to the wonderful sea views and quiet location, yet just a short distance to the beach and tavernas this will be very popular. Its sister villa Tryfon is adjacent so ideal if two families are travelling together but want their own independence.
The villa is set over looking Parga; with the harbour to the left and wonderful Valtos beach down to the right; in between you have the ancient castle and an array of tavernas and restaurants to choose from all very close by.

This lovely cluster of apartments are just 200 meters to Valtos Beach with its fantastic array of beachside restaurants and bars to choose from and of course the wonderful cove offers a safe haven for children to swim as it shelves gently into the Ionian Sea. Valtos beach is just a short walk around the cove to the centre of Parga with its lovely harbour side with fishing boats bobbing up and down in the harbour, the lights twinkling in the distance and a friendly welcome from one of the locals will make you feel right at home.

Here you will find an abundance of tavernas, shops and amenities on your door step with the owners (Petros and Aleca) taverna located directly adjacent so you wont have to wonder too far for lunch or dinner. The wonderful beach at Valtos can be reached in a 5 - 10 minute stroll and so can the harbour side too with its array of tavernas, restaurants and bars all hugging around it. As the apartments are located on the upper part of the village we do not recommend this villa for guests with walking difficulties.

Kostas at villa Kiki is a lovely, traditional two bedroom apartment which is located on the upper floor and offers breath-taking views of the Castle and Valtos beach.
The two bedroom apartment boasts two sea view balconies which are furnished and in addition to this a lower terrace area as well – all with fantastic sea views. From here you can take the private foot path from Villa Kiki to Valtos beach which is just a few moments away – but may take a few more on the way up.

Hugging the beach at Valtos are a wide variety of tavernas, restaurants, bars and amenities all very close by or a short stroll will bring you to Parga village with a wider variety of amenities to choose from. A great location to explore Parga and this glorious coast line to the full.
The property has been finished in traditionally sourced stone and is surrounded by olive and citrus groves (so fresh lemons in abundance!) and a well manicured garden edged with pretty flowers and apricot trees.

Vassilki at villa Kiki is a lovely, traditional one bedroom apartment which is located on the ground floor but has some of the best sea views in Parga. There is a large outside furnished terrace – so an ideal spot for breakfast or watching the sunset. Perfect! From here you can take the private foot path from Villa Kiki to Valtos beach which is just a few moments away – but may take a few more on the way up.
Although located on the upper part of the village there are a number of tavernas and restaurants to choose from or a stroll down to the harbour with its fantastic array of tavernas and cafes is just a short stroll away.
