Menorca

Menorca

With more beaches than the rest of the Balearic Islands put together, and offering a much lower-key atmosphere than its larger neighbour, Mallorca, holidays in Menorca put the spotlight on relaxation. Red sandstone and rugged cliffs give way to secluded coves and sedate waters. Lush green countryside is home to olive groves and orchards and narrow cobbled streets tumble down to quaint fishing harboue

Away from the towns and beaches is a rural landscape and a handful of market towns where life is relatively unchanged. It is not difficult to find peace and quiet on a Menorca holiday, you are never more than a short distance away from a peaceful cove, pine wood or tranquil countryside and of course fabulous and locally sourced cuisine. Try the ‘caldereta de llagosta’ (lobster stew), ‘sobresada’ (sausages with meat, bacon and paprika) and of course the speciality drink of the island Gin Xoriguer (no translation required!)
Summer holidays to Menorca really are as idyllic as they sound.

eHoliday Collection features a selection of unique villas and apartments on Menorca to suit all tastes.

They have all of left their architectural mark with churches, pillars, mosques, minarets and villas dotted around the island and the fascinating story of the Colossus, a mythical bronze statue, 100 feet high which guarded Mandraki harbour.

Bathed in warm by the sun god Helios, Rhodes is now a perfect villa holiday setting. By choosing one of our Rhodes villas and hiring a car you can explore this dramatic island at your own pace. Lindos is one of my favourite places in Greece and it was one of my first trips back in the early 1980’s, you’ll also find our widest choice of Rhodes villa rentals in and around Lindos.
When I arrived in this small, traditional, car free, Greek village I fell in love. The magical white washed buildings, the unique carpentry, the mosaic stonework, the friendly locals added to the charm; it was the following year that I stayed for the summer.

Read more about Lindos and see our selection of villas for rent in Lindos, Rhodes here.

Pefkos The village of Pefkos is located just three miles to the south of Lindos, where the air is filled with the scent of pine, an ideal resort for a quiet family villa holiday in Rhodes.
This peaceful resort, once a huddle of small houses and villas, has been carefully expanded to provide comfortable modern accommodation set amongst vineyards, olive, and fig and pine trees. It has a wonderful, long sandy beach, shelving gently into the sea – so ideal for children, with sun beds and beach bars.

Turkey

Turkey

Turkey, conjures up a magical and exciting villa holiday destination and it is where continents meet and civilisations jostle and the exotic cultures of the east truly embrace the sophistication of the west. There are numerous villages and towns to explore and we have chosen the town of Kalkan which has grown over the years from a small fishing village to an exciting holiday destination which has still kept its charm and character.

Located less than a two hour drive from Dalaman Airport will find the old town and harbourside which has retained its “small town feel” due to the building restrictions introduced before the tourist boom in Turkey. There is a pebble beach by the harbour or explore one of the “beach clubs” which have swimming platforms carved into the rocks with an array of water sports to choose from; or just relax and soak up the rays!

Patara beach is a short drive away and offers 8 miles of a wonderful, sandy beach or the azure coloured waters of Kaputas. The town features a host of tavernas, restaurants, cafes, bars and a cuisine with an excellent selection of Turkish and European mix. Explore the Thursday local farmers market with fresh produce and meats (for that evening BBQ) or simply relax by your own private pool.

Parga, one of the most picturesque villages in Greece, lies on the mountainous west coast of mainland Greece, in the province of Epirus. During the day it is front is a hive of activity with dozens of small boats and water taxis jostling for a berth against the jetty. There are lots of other bays too which can be reached by boat or you can take a trip along the Acheron River, traditionally the entrance to Hades.
