DESTINATION INFORMATION
The stunning Peloponnese offers a selection of wonderful villages that are truly Greek and will re-introduce you to “the real Greece;” the Greece that we all fell in love with many years ago. From relaxing on a sandy cove overlooked by nothing than a handful of traditional tavernas or follow in the footsteps of Pero, the only daughter of Neieus (the son of god, Poseidon) through the ancient trail who was meant to be born in Gialova – this picturesque area of the Peloponnese has it all. There are fantastic sea views across the coastline and the back drop of the mountains sprinkled with olive trees are typical sites in this area. There are numerous medieval remains, old Venetian castles and Byzantine palaces provide a glimpse into the past. There are fantastic sea views across the coastline and the back drop of the mountains sprinkled with olive trees are typical sites in this area. The second largest city in the Peloponnese, Kalamata, gives its name to the scrumptious, dark olives (elies in Greek) and is so prevalent to this region. The cuisine is very typical and many of the tavernas will not have menus however you will be invited into the kitchen to see what the chef (mama or yaya) have made fresh that day – including fresh specialities from lemons, figs , olives (of course), feta cheese aged in oak barrels, meats and freshly caught fish will be widely available.
The area is renowned for crystal, clear, shallow waters and are perfect for families; there are numerous sandy beaches to tiny coves where you may be the only ones soaking up the sun and relaxing. Of course, the beaches offer natural shade as they are flanked by tamarisk and olive trees – a perfect spot to finish off that book!

Pelagia View House is adjacent to the cottage however offers total privacy from each other and demands some of the best views in the area; from all terraces you have marvellous sea views across the Gulf of Messinia. Stoupa village is just a few moments away with its great selection of tavernas, restaurants and amenities. Just a "hop, skip and jump" away you will find the warm, clear sea below and an ideal spot to rock bathe or walk a little further and you will come across either the sandy beach in Stoupa or Kalaogria both close by.

This lovely, traditional stone house is part of a small cluster of apartments however Villa Myrto is a detached home ready to welcome you to Stoupa and the beautiful surrounding area. The village of Stoupa is close by (1.4 km) however there are tavernas and restaurants within a few minutes’ walk (400 mtrs).
